I do work with some local groups who help and care for asylum seekers and refugees. There is not much I can usefully do except give them time. Some work helping the art departments in local schools with simple photography such as making cyanotypes seems to be interesting. I try to give them personal portraits and, if we are making cyanotypes, I give them Tee shirts with their portrait on.

Many of the teenagers look much older than their years – some of their stories of abuse and exploitation are horrific.

This young lady hopes for a secure future – she made cyanotypes of beautiful garlands of flowers .
